2024 Recap

Love Stories: Heartfelt Journeys of Neighbors Turning Troubles into Triumphs!

  • Love INC successfully collaborated with two roofing companies to tarp a roof, preventing further damage to the home while awaiting roof replacement assistance from Habitat for Humanity and Kootenai County Assistance. A volunteer from the local church, along with a resource coordinator from Love INC, joined the effort, dedicating a day to install the tarps, which were necessary due to leaks affecting the living room and kitchen. Charity Reimagined contributed $300 worth of tarps and supplies for the project. This initiative was a joint effort involving Love INC KC, the local church, roofing volunteers, and Charity Reimagined.

  • A couple was able to purchase a vehicle with financial support from various sources. CDA Bible matched their savings of $500, while additional contributions came from Open Arms ($500), Anthem Hayden ($750), and Revelation Church ($750).

  • An elderly disabled woman living alone was dealing with a mouse infestation. Transform Ministries assisted by funding the cleaning of her carpets after Charity Reimagined covered two months of extermination services. She expressed her gratitude for the help she received. We are continuing to support her and are seeking volunteers to visit her once or twice a month and occasionally provide a food box. If you’re interested in helping, please let us know!

  • Mimi participated in the Budget Coaching program and received a $500 savings match. With this support, she invested in her future by purchasing equipment to start her own organic carpet cleaning business. She hopes to eventually employ women who have recently been released from prison.

  • Tressa, a single mother of three boys, received a generous donation of a 2002 Honda CR-V for just $1 from a kind gentleman. Previously employed as a housekeeper at Ramada, she recently left her job to start her own cleaning business. Tressa also applied for and was awarded a scholarship, enabling her to start soon at North Idaho College. Additionally, she recently received the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards scholarship.
